BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Junior League of Central & North Brevard has announced its Board of Directors for the 2012-2013 year, with President Alysia Lee leading the volunteer organization.

Lee is from Viera and follows Janet Tamborini, the 2010-2012 President who also is from Viera.

Lee will serve a one-year term, from June 2012 through May 31, 2013.

“The Junior League of Central & North Brevard is embracing an issue-based approach to volunteerism. This means we will focus our efforts on programs and projects that create a meaningful community impact wrapped around key issues facing Brevard’s children and youth, our target population,” Lee said.

“Our teams are working right now on community research so we can make a positive difference in the lives of Brevard’s children. We’re building a better community, that’s our league mission.”

Lee joined the Junior League, a not-for-profit 501(c)3  organization, in December of 2005 and has held various volunteer roles and board positions within the League.

She is employed as a contractor at Kennedy Space Center as a senior producer of video, television and web programs.

Lee resides in Viera with her husband, Gregory, and their children.
