“The Platinum Coast Invitational will host perhaps the largest field in the past five years…don’t miss out on one of the grandest of events on the Space Coast.” –   Bobby Walker

The Platinum Coast invitational has been an established amateur golf tournament for over 50 years and perhaps the most popular and the longest running event in Central Florida for amateur players.

Tournaments of this caliber, held throughout the state of Florida, which have passed the test of time, are the backbone of competitive amateur golf.

Rockledge Country Club has hosted the Platinum Coast Invitational, which began in 1960 and is the longest known and most popular event in Central Florida for amateur players.

With a victory again in 2011 Kevin Altenhoff, a local resident, along with a win 22 years ago (1989) and the 2010 title (68- 65 133 – lowest score in the tournament’s history) is only the second player to have his name etched for a third time on the prestigious “Platinum Coast Cup”.

Past Platinum Coast winners include notables who played on the PGA Tour:

1973 — Sam Trahan

1984 — Scott Gump

1996 — Adam Hayes

2006 — David Johnson

Former BCC Titan player and PGA Professional Paul Azinger also played in the Platinum but did not win.

The 52nd edition of the Platinum Coast Invitational is expected to host the largest field in the past five years.

Tournament Format: 36 Holes Individual Stroke Play

Tournament Entry Fee: $150 (includes golf fees, prizes, lunch and tee gifts).
