Jamborees Launch Brevard Youth Football Season

Regular Schedule Begins Next Weekend

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The 2012 Brevard County Youth Football and Cheerleading Association launched its 50th anniversary season in style today with jamborees at Satellite High school, Mitchell Ellington Park and in Sebastian.
At the Merritt Island Jamboree, players from Palm Bay, Titusville and Melbourne joined the host Merritt Island Mustangs in a series of scrimmages in which players in all age divisions saw time on both offense and defense.
The South Beach Jamboree at Satellite High School, teams from Rockledge, Suntree/Viera and West Melbourne joined the host South Beach Seahawks for scrimmage games.
At the Sebastian Jamboree at Barber Park, Port St. John and Bayside joined the host Sebastian Sharks for scrimmage games.
The regular season youth football schedule kicks off next Saturday in Brevard County cuminating with the BCYFCA Super Bowls on Nov. 10 at the new Rodes Park in West Melbourne.
