Rocklege, South Beaches Reach Regional Semifinals

One Win From Regional Title Games
GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA – The Rockledge All-Stars did it again Sunday, powering to yet another Southeastern Junior Baseball Regional Tournament victory.

Rockledge wrapped up tournament pool play 3-0 by defeating North Carolina state champion Southwest Forsyth 9-3.
Mason Studstill belted a two-run homer in first inning for Rockledge and had five RBIs in the game.
Also for Rockledge, Drew Parrish went 3-for-4 with a double and scored a run, while Michael Hall had a home run. Gavin Spinnewebber was 2-for-2 at the plate with a walk and scored 2 runs, Trevor Payne was 2-for-3 with a triple and Jackson Parker was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
The victory cemented Rockledge’s position as the winner of Pool B and lifted them into tonight’s 6 p.m. semifinal matchup against Dumfries, Va., (2-1) the Pool A runner-up.
The other semifinal pits 2-1 Tennessee state champion Greeneville (Pool A winner) against 2-1 Southwest Forsyth (Pool B runner-up).
Semifinal winners meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday with a berth in the Junior League World Seri9es in Taylor, Mich. on the line.

Senior Regional
In Little League’s Southeastern Senior Baseball Regional Tournament at Viera Regional Park on Sunday, the South Beaches All-Stars knocked off Florida state champion Greater Largo 5-3 to win Pool B with a 3-0 record.
South Beaches advances to today’s semifinal in Viera against Pool A runner-up Dumfries, Va. (2-1).
The other semifinal today matches Pool A winner Darlington County, S.C. (3-0) against Pool B runner-up Greater Largo (2-1).
Semifinal winners will play for the regional championship and a berth in the Senior League Baseball World Series in Bangor, Maine at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Viera Regional Park.
