Titans Even Record In Volleyball Sweep

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College Titans volleyball team rebounded from two losses on Friday to sweep both its matches on Saturday’s final day of the season-opening Florida State College tournament in Jacksonville.

BCC won two four-set matches on Saturday, defeating Spartanburg (S.C.) Methodist 20-25; 25-11; 25-19 and 25-20 and St. Johns River State College of Palatka 25-11, 25-22, 27-29 and 25-18.

The Titans are now 2-2 heading into Tuesday’s 7 p.m. match at Polk State College in Auburndale.

This was the first appearance in the tournament for BCC which finished 19-20 in 2011 for its best showing in the last five seasons.

Herb Tokumoto coaches the Titans and said the tournament in Jacksonville was a good test for the Titans after four weeks of practice that began Aug. 1.
