County Commission To Make Fowl Ruling

REAL ESTATE NEWS FLASH
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On Thursday December 6 at 5 p.m. the Brevard County Commission is going to vote on allowing four fowl (chickens, turkeys, ducks, etc.) per half acre of property in the unincorporated areas of Brevard.
Although the Space Coast Association of Realtors has not taken an official position on this, the Government Affairs Committee wanted to make everyone aware of this pending vote. Some members believe this decision may affect property values.
Currently there are areas of the county zoned agricultural for this purpose.
Our understanding is that this ordinance, if approved, will allow property owners to own and house up to four (4) fowl’s (chickens, turkeys, ducks, etc.) on all one-half acre parcels anywhere in unincorporated lands in Brevard County
