Deputies Search For 7 Eleven Robbery Suspect

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Sheriff’s deputies are trying to find a suspect who held up a 7 Eleven overnight Wednesday in Cocoa.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Department Major Andrew Walters said a man entered the 7 Eleven convenience store at 1451 Clearlake Road in Cocoa about 1 a.m. Wednesday and handed the cashier a threatening note demanding money.

Walters said the suspect held his hand in his pocket and gestured with it, implying that it was a weapon.

The suspect had been inside the store about 20 minutes before the robbery and appeared to be casing the business at that time.

The suspect is described as a medium build 6-foot tall black man, weighing about 170 pounds. He is about 40- to 50-years old with a medium length afro-style haircut.

He was wearing royal blue knee-length shorts, a white shirt and a dark blue or black jacket.

He is seen in the surveillance photo with a large hairpick sticking out of the back of his hair.

Walters said agernts from the  Brevard County Sheriff’s Office West General Crimes Unit are asking for the public help in helping identify the suspect.
