BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – As the 2013 season winds down and teams look ahead to postseason play, school rivalries are bringing out the best in boys lacrosse across the Space Coast.

That was evident Friday night as the West Shore Wildcats faced the Melbourne Bulldogs in Melbourne.

The game also served as Senior Night for Melbourne High players and was played under near-perfect conditions on a clear and warm evening.

District tournaments for boys lacrosse begin Monday and wrap up April 15.

State play-in games begin April 23.
