BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Warm weather and plenty of sunshine greeted visitors to the 29th Melbourne Art Festival over the weekend in downtown Melbourne.

As artists showcased their work for those attending the festival, visitors found something to their liking among hundreds of booths. The aroma of fresh food and snacks from a variety of vendors wafted through the air and it added to the ambiance of the event.
On Saturday, the annual Flamingo 5K race was held in conjunction with the festival.
AMONG TOP FINE ART EVENTS IN THE NATION
The festival is ranked in the top-30 of fine art and craft shows in the nation by the Sunshine Artist organization. Its all-volunteer committee organizes the art show, live entertainment, a 5K run, KidsWorld, Art Workshops, a Student Art Competition and a free park and ride service that ran from Sears Plaza on Hibiscus Blvd. and Babcock Street, and Indialantic Shopping Center – beach side.
The festival is held each year on the fourth full weekend in April in historic downtown Melbourne, Florida. Bright House Networks is the official sponsor, and the event was also sponsored in part by the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners through the Brevard Cultural Alliance, Inc.
