Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Maria Fernez said the operation resulted in the arrest of 37 fugitives and the clearance of 48 other arrest warrants where the wanted persons were found in the Department of Corrections or County Jails serving sentences or were determined to be deceased.

Fernez said the most notable arrest during the operation was 27-year-old Charles Davis.

He was arrested on outstanding warrant for Attempted First Degree Premeditated Murder and Armed Burglary to an Occupied Residence stemming from an incident on June 29, 2012.

Davis is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex on No Bond.

“Our Fugitive Unit is very aggressive and effective in seeking and removing wanted persons from our community,” Sheriff Wayne Ivey said. “This operation was a complete success and I applaud everyone involved for their outstanding efforts.”
