VIDEO: Agencies Combine Forces To Catch Fleeing Suspect

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Linwood Kyle Juarez, 27, of Palm Bay was arrested today by the West Melbourne Police Department for Fleeing and Eluding, Violation of Probation and Driving While License Suspended, according to Lieutenant Richard Cordeau of the West Melbourne Police Department.

Detectives with the West Melbourne Police Department, working in conjunction with the Palm Bay Police Department, spotted a suspicious vehicle around midday driven by Juarez on Emerson Drive in the City of Palm Bay. Officers followed the vehicle while the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office air unit responded to assist.
BCSO AVIATION UNIT TRACKS SUSPECT
As the vehicle exited I-95 at the Eau Gallie Blvd exit, officers activated their emergency lights and the vehicle fled. The suspect’s vehicle nearly struck an unmarked Palm Bay Police vehicle and continued fleeing.

Officers then backed off and allowed the helicopter to follow the suspect vehicle where it eventually crashed off of Emerson Drive in Palm Bay.
The suspect was apprehended on Dallam Blvd. after attempting to flee into a residence. At this time detectives are unable to tie the suspect to the recent rash of daytime residential burglaries.
