While Handlebars For The Holidays is a longstanding event held annually by the Associated Builders and Contractors, this year’s event was combined with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Bike Program that partners with Waste Management to give almost 200 bikes to kids in need.

The bikes are either donated by local retailers or citizens who donate used bikes to our program. The bikes are then completely refurbished using Inmate Labor and then donated to kids along with a helmet and bike lock.

ALMOST 200 KIDS GOT A BIKE FOR CHRISTMAS

Associated Builders and Contractors raised over $10,000 to support the event and make sure that almost two hundred kids in Brevard County got a bike for Christmas.

“Today’s event is a perfect example of what partnerships can accomplish to help a community.”
