Aupont, a freshman from Orlando, FL and Edgewater High, had a standout game in Eastern Florida’s loss to Southern Conference opponent Indian River State College, scoring 17 points and collecting 16 rebounds.

Aupont is Eastern Florida’s second-leading scorer averaging 11.5 points per game and its leading rebounder at 8.6 per game.

“Rocky played very well for us last Saturday, and she is well deserving of this honor,” said Eastern Florida head coach Jim Grimes.

“She had a long lay-off, and struggled a bit in her first game back, but really returned to form last week. Her scoring and rebounding will be even more important as we go through the heart of our conference season, and we are asking a lot of her, but I know she is up to the task.”
