BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Cancer Care Foundation once again presented their signature annual Caring Hearts Benefit at the riverfront home of Ed and Jeanne Andre that featured an island theme.

Now in its 12th year, the first two years the event was held at different venues, but for the last 10 years the André family have graciously offered their stunning home as the host venue for the event.
The Caring Hearts’ goal is to assist local cancer patients undergoing treatments by paying for their basic living expenses such as rent, mortgage, utilities and pain and cancer related medications.
“I was diagnosed with cancer in March 2003,” said Mary Paul Hendry.
“I started with Dr. Craig Badolato, and thanks to God and Dr. Badolato, I am still here. I thank the Cancer Care Foundation for their love and support.”
FINE ART, GREAT FOOD
The benefit included live music, a live auction, silent auctions, a lavish multi-station buffet and fine wines. Auction items included great international trips, compelling sports memorabilia, unique works of art from local artists and exciting products and services from area business.

“I thank everybody who came out to participate in one of the more unique fund raising events in all of Brevard County,” said Tom Drago, this year’s Caring Hearts Committee Chairperson and foundation board of directors member.
“The benefit contributes to the ongoing success of the Cancer Care Foundation in assisting under and uninsured cancer patients in Brevard and Indian River counties. We’re proud of the fact that 98 percent of the money we take in at this and other numerous fundraising events goes directly to assist cancer patients to meet financial commitments including utility bills, rent, and transportation costs.”
Mark you calendar now for the 13th Annual Caring Hearts Benefit, which will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
