Semi-Truck Strikes Fox Lake Overpass in Titusville

TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — A semi-truck hauling a back-hoe was travelling southbound on I-95 when it struck the Fox Lake Road overpass.
UPDATE: The driver, Steven Avant, 35 of Sanford has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash and exceeding the maximum height on a load.
According to witnesses, the back-hoe caused damage to the overpass.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the Titusville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the semi truck and FHP troopers are investigating the scene of the accident.
