BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Three port-of-call ships have been diverted to Port Canaveral due to Hurricane Cristobal.

The Celebrity Summit and Norwegian Breakaway originally were scheduled to stop in Bermuda, while the Carnival Pride altered its scheduled visit to Grand Turk to avoid the storm.

“Port Canaveral is pleased we are able to work with ‎these three cruise lines for an outstanding port of call day and to accommodate these added passengers at Florida’s Space Coast,” said a statement released by Port Canaveral officials.

Port Canaveral currently is the second busiest cruise port in the world with more than four million passengers annually, eight home ported ships and more than 160 regular port-of-call visits each year.
