FHP Releases Identity of Fatal Motorcycle Crash Victim

Ashley Sons of Altamonte Springs killed

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Ashley Sons, a 26-year old woman from Altamonte Springs was killed on Friday at about 6:04 p.m. when her motorcycle collided with a vehicle driven by Raven Glover of Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Glover, 21, was traveling eastbound on State Road 520 in the left turn lane as the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on State Road 520 in the outside lane, approaching State Road 524.

Glover, driving a 2007 Hyundai Sonata, attempted to make a left turn onto State Road 524 and entered into the direct path of Sons, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The right front of the Sonata collided with the right side of motorcycle, ejecting Sons onto the north shoulder of State Road 520.

Sons was pronounced dead on the scene .

Neither Glover, or her three passengers were injured.

This crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
