NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Did it feel a little too much like summer last month?

Well it was one for the record books, as it was the warmest April on record for most climate sites in East Central Florida, except Orlando where it was the second warmest.

Also similar to our summer months, more consistent daily shower and thunderstorm activity led to above normal rainfall across the region.

It ended up the seventh wettest April on record for Daytona Beach and 10th wettest for Vero Beach.
