The mural was created by artist Shane Pierce from North Carolina, who generously shared his talent by gifting this beautiful artwork to support the mission of the Brevard Humane Society.

“I wanted to create something that would make people stop, smile, and feel something,” said Pierce.

“Animals have an incredible way of touching our hearts, and when someone stops, pauses, and comes inside, then I know my artwork has done its job”.

The large-scale mural, bursting with color, warmth, and life, is an eye-catching salute to the animals and the Humane Society’s mission.

Theresa Clifton, Executive Director of the Humane Society, stated how the artistic detail is creating an unforgettable first impression where visitors are drawn toward the building, many for the first time, curious to see what lies inside.

“We are incredibly grateful to Shane Pierce for sharing his time, talent, and vision with us. This will be so appreciated for many years to come.”

The Brevard Humane Society invites the community to visit and experience this remarkable new landmark, and, most importantly, to be inspired to add a new furry family member.

The Brevard Humane Society’s mission is to protect Brevard County’s homeless animals by providing shelter, promoting responsible pet ownership, and ending animal suffering, thereby creating a no-kill community.

Since 1952, they have focused on animal welfare through adoption programs, low- cost veterinary care, and education.

The Brevard Humane Society announced the success of its 14th Annual Tuxes & Tails Greatest Show Gala, held on August 23. The event, presented by Subaru of Melbourne and emceed by Mindy from Lite Rock 99.3, raised over $165,000 to benefit homeless pets in Brevard County.
