September Events Plentiful At Titusville’s Enchanted Forest Sanctuary

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – An exciting September is planned at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary.
Join them for one of the many programs and events they are offering. All events are free.
Every Saturday at 10 a.m. – Guided Walk: Enjoy a 45-minute guided hike. Please bring hat,water and walking shoes. No reservations needed. Groups of 5 or more, please RSVP.
September Guide Trainings: Spots are limited and future guides must preregister for these classes. Call (321) 264-5185 to register. Please bring a packed lunch, water, a hat,and wear closed toed shoes and sunscreen.

Friday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Study Trip Guide Training
Saturday, Sept. 5, and Wednesday, Sept 16, from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Volunteer Orientation: Come learn about the various volunteer opportunities.
Wednesday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. – Nature Time for 2-3 Year Olds: September’s theme is Animal Homes! We will read a story and do hands-on activities as we explore where different animals live! Spots limited. Please call (321) 264-5185 to register.
Friday, September 11, 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Sanctuary School: September’s subject is Can You Dig It? Soil Science! Home schoolers ages 6-10 and their families are invited to enjoy a program on soil! Spots limited. Please call (321) 264-5185 to register.
Saturday, Sept. 12, 2 p.m. – Future Trails of Brevard County and Florida: Learn how the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization is supporting the development of paved multi-use trails in Brevard. Get a sneak peak at the future Coast to Coast Connector Trail which will span from Canaveral National Seashore to St. Petersburg. Join us for this informative talk presented by Katrina Morrell.
Saturday, Sept. 16, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. – Lunch w/ Nature- A Discussion on Sharks: Bring a packed lunch and enjoy a discussion on sharks with Joe Zayas.
Saturday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. – Photography Club: Program for all levels of photography. View photographs and learn helpful tips.
Saturday, Sept. 19, 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Reptile & Snake Presentation: Learn about some of the Enchanted Forest’s reptile residents and meet a red rat snake!
Sunday, Sept. 20, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Forest Funday -Fungus Fiesta: Children and families are invited to learn about fungus, enjoy a self-guided scavenger hunt and to make a mushroom craft anytime between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 23, 6:30 p.m. – Florida Native Plant Society – Sea Rocket Chapter: Enjoy a special presentation by Dr. Jay Barnhart on Fungus. Meet at 6:30pm for light refreshments,program begins at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 26 – Celebrate National Public Lands Day!:
9 a.m. – noon: Volunteer Workday in the gardens and ground of EFS.
10am: – Guided Hike
10 a.m. – 3 p.m: Florida Native Plant Sale with Sea Rocket Chapter of Florida Native Plant Society.
