Premier Urgent Care Now Exclusive Medical Service Provider On Campus of Florida Tech

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Premier Urgent/Primary Care at Suntree in Melbourne has been named the exclusive medical service provider at the Holzer Health Center on the campus of Florida Tech.

Premier Urgent/Primary Care is owned and operated by Dr. David Badolato and Dr. Stephen Badolato, and has been awarded the “Best of Brevard” Urgent Care for the last five years.

The medical practice has been a center of medical excellence in the Suntree area of Melbourne for more than 15 years.

“Premier is honored to be providing care to a University with such an outstanding reputation and privileged to follow the dream of Dr. O.A. Holzer who started the center in 1975,” said Dr. David Badolato.

The two dynamic physician twin brothers have been leaders in the Brevard County medical community for years and are highly supportive of the University.

Premier Urgent/Primary Care began operations at the student health center on Aug. 1 and expect to see about 7,000 patient visits in the first year. Office visits are free to all registered Florida Tech students regardless of insurance for acute illnesses or injuries.

The Holzer Health Center, with Premier and their medical providers, will provide medical care for all Florida Tech students and will also extend their services to all faculty and staff.

“We are grateful to have the Badolatos and Premier Urgent Care running our Holzer Student Health Center,” said Dr. Dwayne T. McKay, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, who will step in as the University’s president after Dr. Anthony Catanese retires later this year.

NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED

Premier Urgent/Primary Care has partnered with University Center Imaging to create a nationally recognized health care delivery system that will be distinguished from other Universities and Colleges throughout the country.

Holzer Health Center will be staffed full time by two Certified Nurse Practitioners, including Deborah Marino, ARNP-C and Brittany Collins, ARNP-C.

The Holzer Student Health Center is located at 2976 Country Club Road, which is on the corner of Country Club Road and University Boulevard, next to the main student parking lot.

Marino has been the Medical Director for Holzer Health Center for almost 15 years and will continue to serve as the director.

She sits on many Florida Tech Committees that relate to the health and well-being of the student body and directs and facilitates many preventive/ wellness promotion seminars that are provided on campus.

Collins has been a medical provider at Holzer for almost two years and has played a major role in developing and organizing multiple preventative and wellness educational programs available to Florida Tech Students.

In addition, Dr. David Badolato, a Board Certified Family Physician, will have a clinic on campus to provide medical consultations for students on a weekly basis.

Dr. Stephen Badolato, a Board Certified Sports Medicine physician, will provide consultations on a weekly basis to evaluate sports and orthopedic related conditions.

Premier is excited about this new partnership and its relationship with FIT and Holzer Health Center.

“We look forward to developing a long and beneficial relationship with a goal to provide the highest quality of care for the entire Florida Tech University family,” said Dr. Stephen Badolato.
