BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – World famous marine wildlife artist and conservationist Guy Harvey has donated six eye-popping original designs for the “Creative Cans in the Sand” initiative, which will be unveiled during the Port Canaveral Seafood & Music Festival set for Feb. 26-28 at Port Canaveral.

Inspired by a desire to project the Space Coast beaches as among the best in the world, Brevard natives Bobby Freeman and his wife Nikki have combined elements of their avocation and their profession to form the non-profit organization “Creative Cans In The Sand.”

Creative Cans In the Sand has also been endorsed by politicians, government officials, prominent businesses and famous artists.

“We will have these beautifully decorated cans on display during the Port Canaveral Seafood and Music Festival, and will then install Guy’s Creative Cans at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach and Cheri Down Park in Cape Canaveral,” said Nikki McCoy-Freeman.

The couple formed their not for profit organization with a mission to encourage beachgoers to dispose of their trash responsibility, raise the visibility of the Space Coast as having one of the best beaches in the world, and also donate any proceeds to benefit local worthy cause.

“We are very thrilled to have a world famous artist supporting Creative Cans in the Sand, and to be able to unveil them in front of tens of thousands of people during the festival is huge for us,” said Bobby Freeman.

“Guy Harvey’s support will greatly benefit our beaches, environment and help educate the world that trash belongs in the can and not in the sand.”
