UPDATE: 

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Thomas Bernard Glidewell, 73, was arrested in connection to the traffic crash involving a child on a bicycle at the intersection of Delespine Avenue and Alpine Lane on February 25 at around 6 p.m., according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

Glidewell was charged with leaving the scene crash that involved injury.

The suspect was booked into the Brevard County Jail with a $15,000 bond.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA (WOFL FOX 35) – An 8-year-old Titusville boy was transported by helicopter to Arnold Palmer Hospital early Thursday evening after authorities said he was struck by a hit-and-run driver.

When firefighters responded to Alpine Lane and Delespine Ave. just after 6 p.m., they found the boy with an injury to his head, though he appeared to be conscious.

The vehicle that struck the child had reportedly left the scene.
