ABOVE VIDEO: An Orca Stunned tourists by tossing a sea turtle out of the water off the coast of the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –Tourists were treated to a stunning performance by a whale while on a boat trip around the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador on May 29.
Whale-spotting in the creature’s natural habitat, customers with Quasar Expeditions spotted an orca, or killer whale playing with a poor, unsuspecting sea turtle.
The giant whale tossed the tiny turtle from the water, to the delight of onlookers. Orcas regularly use the waters in the Galapagos area for hunting. The sea turtles native to that part of the country are known as Galápagos green turtles.
The orca tossed the turtle as if it were a beach ball. Full grown sea turtles, as this appeared to be, usually weigh about 350 pounds.
