Sensei Des Chaskelson said, “Many of these dangerous situations can be avoided and we provide information and strategies on how to avoid danger and conflict before it arises, as well as basic techniques to use and targets to aim at if there is no option but to fight back.”
“Statistics show that assault on women is much more common than it should be” – Sensei Des Chaskelson
The seminar imparted a lot of information on assault prevention as well as teaching basic techniques and target areas to strike. The participants were shown and then practiced basic punches, knife hand strikes, elbow strikes, head butts, knee strikes and kicks as well as basic blocks.
Students at Cocoa Beach Karate, led by Sensei Chaskelson, demonstrated the techniques and assisted with the teaching and practice.
