BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Saxophonist and UCF Jazz Director Jeff Rupert & his Quartet are performing for the Space Coast Jazz Society’s monthly live jazz concert on Sunday, October 9th, 2pm at the Cocoa Beach Country Club. 

Jeff will be backed by Richard Drexler on the piano, Ben Kramer on bass & Marty Morell on the drums.

Jeff is a Yamaha performing artist, a record producer, freelance tenor saxophonist & full-time professor & Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Central Florida.

He’s been a featured soloist on dozens of recordings with artists like Maynard Ferguson, Sam Rivers, Mel Tormé, Diane Schuur, Benny Carter & many more.  He also played on Carter’s Harlem Renaissance which won a GRAMMY.

Saxophonist and UCF Jazz Director Jeff Rupert & his Quartet are performing for the Space Coast Jazz Society’s monthly live jazz concert on Sunday, October 9th, 2pm at the Cocoa Beach Country Club.

Rupert was selected to perform in the Jaguar International Jazz Series in New Zealand where he worked with Joe La Barbera, Larry Koonse, John Fedchock & Tom Warrington.

He founded the band Jeff Rupert + Dirty Martini. Maynard Ferguson said; “From the moment I first heard Jeff Rupert with my band, I considered him one of the great jazz players of today.”

Concerts are open to the public and no reservations are needed. Admission is paid at the door – $10 for jazz society members, $15 for guests, & students are free. The Cocoa Beach Country Club is located at 5000 Tom Warriner Blvd., Cocoa Beach.  Allow extra time for the detour at A1A & Minuteman Causeway.

You’ll need to go a couple of blocks north of Minuteman Cswy then take North 1st St. or North 2nd St., go west to Woodland Ave. or Cedar Ave., then turn south to get back to Minuteman Cswy past the closed portion of Minuteman.
