Eastern Florida State College Theatre Students to Present ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ On Nov. 30

ABOVE VIDEO: It’s a Wonderful Life is a 1946 Christmas classic fantasy drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra, based on the short story “The Greatest Gift,” which Philip Van Doren Stern wrote in 1939 and published privately in 1945. The film is now among the most popular in American cinema and because of numerous television showings in the 1980s has become traditional viewing during the Christmas season.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Students in the Eastern Florida State College Titans Theatre Club will present “It’s A Wonderful Life, A Live Radio Play” by Joe Landry on Wednesday, November 30 on the Cocoa Campus in the Simpkins Fine Arts Center Studio Theatre.

Staged as a live 1940s radio broadcast, this adaptation of the classic holiday film tells the story of George Bailey, a downtrodden man contemplating suicide on Christmas Eve.

With help from his guardian angel Clarence, Bailey learns what life would be like had he never been born, which ultimately leads to a change of heart.

Show times are 4 p.m. and 7 p.m, and admission is free.
