Titans fall to 5-10 on the season

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team battled the No. 1 team in the NJCAA for the second time this year, falling 98-77 in the Florida Southwestern Classic.

The Titans got down big early and could never get back into the game as Gulf Coast State scored 37 of their 98 points in the first quarter.

Trudy Walker once again led Eastern Florida with 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Titans.

Teammate Victoria Morales had 13 while Idaysha Sealey had 12 points and Mariah Batz finished with 11.

The Titans, who are 5-10 on the season, will play Monroe College on Friday morning in the final day of the classic. Eastern Florida will host Daytona State College next Thursday. Game time is 6 p.m. and admission is free.
