After falling behind early, FIT made it a one-score game in the second half, but eventually the Panthers ran out of steam and were defeated 42-21 on the road at Cowboys Stadium. Mark Cato completed 21-of-37 passing for 333 yards, two touchdowns and just one pick.
Antwuan Haynes ran for 36 yards and one touchdown on seven carries, while also catching five passes for 68 yards and a receiving touchdown.

FIT enters its fifth season and has increased its win total every year since the inaugural campaign.
After posting a record of 8-3 and making their first postseason appearance a year ago, the Panthers are looking to continue their upward trajectory.
The Gulf South Conference’s top scoring team in 2016 (37.4 points per game) should again feature a high-flying offense with much of its weapons returning, while the defense is primed to dominate its opponents under the guidance of new defensive coordinator Rick Minter.
