BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Florida Tech has been tabbed to finish second in the 2018 Sunshine State Conference men’s lacrosse preseason poll, in voting of the league’s head coaches.

The Panthers were voted alongside Florida Southern and Saint Leo in a three-way tie for second place with 33 total votes apiece.

Tampa, the four-time defending SSC Tournament Champion, was selected the preseason favorite to win the league title with 49 total votes and seven first-place votes.

In fifth place in the poll is Rollins with 29 total votes and Lynn is sixth with 27 votes. Conference newcomers Palm Beach Atlantic and Embry-Riddle were picked seventh and eighth in the ranking with 12 and eight votes, respectively.
