BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral hosted royalty again with Wednesday’s arrival of Cunard’s Queen Victoria at Cruise Terminal 1.

“She has called on our port several times since her first visit in 2011, and her stop here today is part of a 74-night transatlantic journey,” said Port officials on Facebook.

“Can’t wait to have you back in March on the return leg of your cruise.”

MS Queen Victoria (QV) is a Vista-class cruise ship operated by the Cunard Line and is named after the British Monarch Queen Victoria. The ship departed Port Canaveral Wednesday evening around 7:30 p.m.

Queen Victoria is of the same basic design as other Vista-class cruise ships including Queen Elizabeth. The external and internal designs are more in keeping with Cunard’s style and at 90,049 GT, and is the smallest of Cunard’s ships in operation.

Queen Victoria’s facilities include seven restaurants, thirteen bars, three swimming pools, a ballroom, and a theatre.

During her 2017 refit, Queen Victoria was fitted with an additional block of cabins at the stern that makes her more similar in appearance to Queen Elizabeth.

This addition also made more space available around a newly re-designed aft lido pool area, and reduced the size of aft-facing balconies for better passenger privacy.
