ORLANDO, FLORIDA (UCF Knights) – The UCF football team was off this weekend and will next take on Temple Thursday at 7:30 p.m. When the national polls came out on Sunday, the Knights moved up one spot to ninth.

UCF was 10th in both polls before improving to 7-0 with a 37-10 road win over ECU last weekend. The Knights are now ninth in the AP Top 25 Poll with 1,014 points and ninth in the Amway Coaches Poll with 1,082 points.

It matches the highest ranking UCF has ever earned during the regular season of play. The Knights are once again the top ranked team out of the state of Florida. Houston is the only other team in The American ranked this weekend, coming in at 17th in both polls.

Following the win over ECU, the Knights have won 20 straight games, dating back to the start of the 2017 season. It’s the longest win streak in the nation, the longest in program history and the longest in American Athletic Conference history.

UCF will return to action on Thursday. The Knights take on Memphis 7:30 p.m. with coverage on ESPN and FM 96.9/AM 740 The Game.
