Florida Tech Men’s Swim Team Breaks 200 Medley Relay School Record at NCAA Swimming Championship

Roacha Furtado earned First Team All-American honors in the 50 for the third year in a row

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – On March 13, the Florida Tech Panthers competed in day 1 of the NCAA Swimming Championships in IU Natatorium.
The Panthers set a new school record in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:28.10 to earn First Team All-American honors. The relay was made up of Emanuele Rossi, Dain Rust, Filip Dujmic and Victor Rocha Furtado.
In the 50 free, Rossi recorded a time of 20.60 for the Panthers.
Rocha Furtado also participated in the 50 free. The Brazilian native registered a time of 19.90 in the prelims. Later in the finals, he beat that mark with a time of 19.71 earning second place.
Roacha Furtado earned First Team All-American honors in the 50 for the third year in a row with this performance.
