BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police Officer Van Zile has been named the City of Titusville Employee of the Month for June 2026 in recognition of his life-saving actions during a water rescue in May.
Officer Van Zile worked alongside community members during the emergency, demonstrating courage, quick thinking and a commitment to protecting others.
Officials said his actions embodied the city’s mission of “promoting teamwork within our community.”
The Titusville Police Department congratulated Officer Van Zile and shared video highlighting the rescue and the efforts of the residents who assisted.
