Phantoms have won four straight over Tar Heels

SPACE COAST DAILY TV: The Space Coast Tar Heels, a member of the Florida Champion Football League, traveled to Lake Brantley Saturday evening to face the Orlando Phantoms. The Tar Heels lost in a heart-breaker, 22-19 in a last-minute field goal. Alan Zlotorzynski and Derek Smith were on the call.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Tar Heels, a member of the Florida Champion Football League, traveled to Lake Brantley Saturday evening to face the Orlando Phantoms. The Tar Heels lost in a heart-breaker, 22-19 in a last-minute field goal. 

Space Coast Daily TV broadcast the game live with Alan Zlotorzynski and Derek Smith with on the call. Presenting sponsors included the Space Coast Seafood and Music Festival, First Choice Medical Group, All Points Logistics and Frog Bones Family Shooting Center.

Going into the game, the Tar Heels were undefeated on the back of a stellar defense that is forcing five turnovers per contest.

Tonight’s game was a rematch of last year’s conference championship in which Orlando ended the Tar Heels season with a 28-6 win. The Phantom have now won four straight over Space Coast by a combined score of 127-47.

The Phantoms have won six minor league football championships since their inception in 2007.

The Florida Champion Football League is a non-profit organization of 20 adult amateur American minor league football teams.

The 3-0 Space Coast Tarheels, a member of the Florida Champion Football League, travels to Lake Brantley to face the Orlando Phantoms. Alan Zlotorzynski and Derek Smith are on the call.

Tar Heel team owners Roger Lewis and Matt Parsons, with the help of their staff, are molding the future of the Space Coast Tarheels and plan to have a successful 2019 season.

“We are very dedicated to making this organization successful and we look forward to everything that is to come to our team,” said Lewis.

The Tarheels play all of their home games at Astronaut High School, located at 800 War Eagle Boulevard in Titusville.

Tickets for the game are $7, age 10 and up, and $3 for age 9 and under if you purchase tickets at the gate at game time. If you purchase tickets during the Tailgate Party, admission is $5, age 10 and up, and free for age 9 and under.

The 2019 Tar Heels remaining schedule includes the Rise on March 9 (away), Chiefs on March 16 (away), Barracudas on March 23 (home), Stampede on March 3 (home), Bulls on April 6 (away) and Soldiers on April 13 (home).
