BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA– In this week’s episode of “Cookin’ Up Justice,” Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey seeks help to solve the 32-year-old cold case of Julie Ann Backstrom.
Investigators say Backstrom was found dead on February 11, 1987, lying in a canal on the south side of the eastbound lanes on SR 528 and 1,000 yards east of I-95.
Backstrom’s car was found parked in a business parking lot in Mims on February 13, 1987.
Backstrom, 29, was a registered nurse at the time of her death.
