BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech women’s tennis player Alahna Reto has been named the recipient of the Authur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship award winner for the South region, announced Wednesday, May 15. The senior is one of 14 honorees (seven male and seven female).

Reto had an excellent final campaign in the Crimson and Gray as she went 11-8 in duals plays as the team’s No. 1 player.

The Plano, Texas, native also leaped up the all-time wins leaderboard for the Panthers as she now ranks fourth in singles with 76 wins and ninth in doubles with 61 victories.

She did all this with a smile on her face and an amazing attitude that ultimately lead her to this prestigious award.
