Brevard Sheriff’s Office Investigating After Woman Shot in Domestic Incident in Unincorporated Cocoa

Scene is contained and female victim was transported to a local hospital

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating after responding to a report of a woman being shot just at a residence off Dolores Court in Cocoa just after 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, according to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Tod Goodyear.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating after responding to a report of a woman being shot just at a residence off Dolores Court in Canaveral Groves just after 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, according to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Tod Goodyear.

The woman was transported to a local hospital, Goodyear said.

He added that an investigation of the incident is currently being conducted.

“The scene is contained,” Goodyear said. “There is no danger to the community.”
