BREVARD COUNTY FLORIDA – Former Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School student/athlete, Bianca “Bee” Cruz recently sat down with the Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson to talk about her journey from T-Ball in Eau Gallie to the Puerto Rico National Softball Team.
Cruz was a star athlete for Space Coast and could always be found in the circle for the Vipers.
She was one of the top high school pitchers in Brevard County.
A multiple Friday Night Locker Room Player of the Game recipient, Cruz had a decision to make when she graduated high school in 2018.
Her first and only choice was to attend Florida State University. Cruz always wanted to be a Seminole. She got her wish and is now a part of the FSU softball team.
Cruz red-shirted last year, in what turned out to be a blessing as it gave her a year to study and understand the game at the collegiate level.

This past summer, Cruz was provided the opportunity to try out for the Puerto Rico Softball Team. Her father is of Puerto Rican descent, which made her eligible for the team.
Cruz thought she might have a chance to make the 19-U Team, but was actually selected to play on the National Team.
What a summer it was for Cruz, as she represented Puerto Rico in the USA Softball International Cup that was held in Columbus, Georgia.
Cruz will be a redshirt freshman this year on the FSU softball team an after her experience this summer, she is more than ready to move her game to the next level.
