SPACE COAST DAILY TV: UCF Knights wide receivers, former Viera Hawks Football standouts Tre Nixon and Devin Nixon talked with the Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson after practice on Friday about playing together again at the University of Central Florida and the outlook for UCF’s 2019 season. Last season Tre played in and started all 13 games and caught 40 passes for 562 yards and four touchdowns. Devin is a redshirt senior who came from Western Kentucky to play for the Knights.

• Caught 40 passes for 562 yards and four touchdowns
• Averaged 14.1 yards per reception and 43.2 yards receiving per game
• Had multiple receptions in 13 games
• UConn (8/30): Opened UCF career with five receptions for 101 yards and two touchdowns
• SCSU (9/8): Snagged a trio of passes for 53 yards
• SMU (10/6): Caught a career-high six passes for 97 yards and one touchdown
• ECU (10/20): Hauled in four passes for 21 yards
• Temple (11/1): Grabbed four receptions for 39 yards
• Navy (11/10): Finished with 44 yards receiving on four catches

• Spent two seasons at the University of Mississippi
• Saw action in 10 games, recording one catch for 19 yards vs. Cal during the 2017 season
• Redshirted in 2016
HIGH SCHOOL
• Caught 79 passes for 1,243 yards and 18 touchdowns – both school records – in his senior year
• Finished fourth in the voting for Florida’s Mr. Football award
• Florida Dairy Farmers 7A Player of the Year
• Named first-team All-State by the Associated Press and USA Today
• Led Viera to its first two district titles and the 2015 Class 7A state finals
• Had 36 catches for 905 yards and 12 TDs as a junior and 30 catches for 636 yards and six TDs as a sophomore
• 2018 (r-Jr.) | 9/0: Saw action in nine games.
• 2017 (r-So.) | 5/1: Nixon saw the field in five games for the Hilltoppers, recording one reception for 7 yards on Oct. 14 vs. Charlotte. His first start came vs. Eastern Kentucky in the season opener.
• 2016 (r-Fr.) | 2/0: Nixon appeared in two games as a redshirt freshman, against Houston Baptist and North Texas.

High School:
Nixon prepped at Viera High School, helping his team to a 9-1 overall record in 2014 and picking up an invitation to the Central Florida All-Star game in the process. Nixon was a 2014 Central Florida All-Star and a 2014 FACA All-District first teamer. He was an All-Space Coast honorable mention selection and was rated as the No. 188 athlete in the nation by 247Sports.com
