SHERIFF IVEY: we are well prepared for the impact of this storm and together we will keep each other safe

BREVARD COUNTY SHERIFF WAYNE IVEY: Junny and I had the opportunity on Labor Day to stop by a few of Brevard County’s hurricane evacuation shelters to thank our Deputies and the many volunteers who are working hard to keep all of our shelters safe and sound during Hurricane Dorian.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Junny and I had the opportunity on Labor Day to stop by a few of Brevard County’s hurricane evacuation shelters to thank our Deputies and the many volunteers who are working hard to keep all of our shelters safe and sound during Hurricane Dorian.

I could not be more proud of the amazing men and women of our agency who are working round the clock as Hurricane Dorian fast approaches our coastline.

Regardless if they are working at our evacuation shelters, our Communications Center, our Correctional Facility, keeping watch over our community, or even making sure our homeless pets are safe, these amazing members of our team stand ready to make sure that our community is ready to face Hurricane Dorian as it heads our way.

And of course, Junny was a big hit with the kids at the shelter as he brought a smile to everyone’s face.

Trust me when I tell you that as a community we are well prepared for the impact of this storm and together we will keep each other safe!

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
