Charity Stewart Selected as New Space Coast Office of Tourism Marketing Director

Space Coast Office of Tourism Executive Director Peter Cranis announced the selection of Charity Stewart, above, as the TDO’s new Tourism Marketing Director.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Space Coast Office of Tourism Executive Director Peter Cranis announced the selection of Charity Stewart as the TDO’s new Tourism Marketing Director.

Stewart will begin her new duties beginning Sept. 16.

Stewart comes to them from Huntsville, Alabama where she currently holds the position of Account Manager with Move Digital, a digital marketing agency offering a full slate of digital marketing services including social media marketing, digital advertising, Search Engine Optimization, content creation, websites and social media training.

Prior to that, she served as Social Media and Advertising Director for the U.S. Space and Rocket Center for 6 years.

While there, she developed comprehensive alumni community relations to increase return business, was responsible for the creation of effective and integrated messaging and design criteria for online and print advertising, built a social network outreach team, analyzed customer demographics to create effective email and direct marketing campaigns, as well as monitored website and social media traffic through multiple analytical outlets.

Stewart has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Arts in Business Communication from Jones International University in Colorado.

She is Google AdWords Search certified and has taught local and regional workshops on successful social media campaigns.

In 2012, Stewart was recognized as Tourism Professional of the Year from the Alabama Restaurant & Hospitality Alliance and won a Red Ribbon Award from the Huntsville/Madison County Hospitality Association in 2014.

Stewart will be relocating to the Space Coast with her husband Edward, is looking forward to exploring all there is to do in the destination and is excited to begin sharing those discoveries with the world.
