Stephanie Edwards, 26, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Melbourne

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that Stephanie Edwards, 26, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Melbourne at 4:05 a.m. Sunday. Edwards, of Rockledge, was traveling northbound on I-95 driving a 2012 Nissan Maxima when the crash occurred near mile marker 179.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol reported that Stephanie Edwards, 26, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Melbourne at 4:05 a.m. Sunday.

Edwards, of Rockledge, was traveling northbound on I-95 driving a 2012 Nissan Maxima when the crash occurred near mile marker 179.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kim Montes, Edwards was traveling in the middle lane, and for an unknown reason, moved into the outside lane and onto the grass shoulder, where Edward’s vehicle struck a utility pole.

Lt. Montes said Edwards later died at Holmes Regional Medical Center.

This crash remains under investigation.
