BCSO Deputies Habart and Hubinger Earn First Place Finishes in Cocoa PD K9 Competition

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit competed in the Space Coast K9 Competition hosted by the Cocoa Police Department.
Representing our agency along with their K-9 partners were Corporal Rick Nelson, Corporal John Decossaux, Deputy John Hubinger, Deputy Lauren Donaldson, Deputy Tyler Habart and Deputy David Dixon.
Overall there were 20 teams competing in the event with teams participating from the United States Air Force, Florida, Texas and Georgia.
While everyone did an amazing job in representing their agency, we are extremely proud to announce that BCSO Deputy Tyler Habart and his partner K-9 Roscoe took First Place in the Obstacle Course and BCSO Deputy John Hubinger with his partner K-9 Lars got First Place in the Fast Dog competition and Third Place in the Hard Dog competition.
Please join me in congratulating Deputy Habart and Deputy Hubinger for their performance in the competition and also in thanking the Cocoa Police Department for hosting this incredible event.
