NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Lingering showers will push offshore by late morning and another round of fast-moving showers and a few storms are expected on the Space Coast late this afternoon.
Today, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. West wind around 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tonight, showers continue to be likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 7 pm, then a chance of showers.
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. West southwest wind around 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%.
New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
Christmas Eve: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
Christmas Day: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
