Kennedy Nolan Breaks Another Florida Tech Record in 200-Yard Butterfly After Beating 100-Yard Record

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA – Florida Tech swimming concluded day three of the SSC Swimming Championships at Long Aquatic Center in Clearwater on Saturday evening. The women’s finished the day with 204 points, while the men collected 227.50 points.

WOMEN’S 

The Panthers received a great performance by Kennedy Nolan who broke her school record in the 200-yard butterfly after breaking the 100-yard butterfly yesterday morning. Nolan broke the school record with a time of 2:06.11 on Saturday morning. Nolan qualified for the finals in the afternoon and finished 8th.

Savannah Brennan had a B-time (5:01.39) in the 500-yard freestyle race earning 6th place.

Savannah Brennan, ShaelynRutta, Kennedy Nolan, and Nicole Rautemberg competed in the 800-yard freestyle relay and recorded a time of 7:50.59.

MEN’S 

Daniel Aizenberg qualified for the finals in the 100-yard backstroke. Aizenberg finished tie for 3rd place and registered a B-time (48:91) on Saturday afternoon. Carlos Obregon recorded a time of 50.72 in the same event.

Dain Rust qualified for the 100-yard breaststroke in which he finished 2nd. The senior registered a B-time of 54:16. Jose Coiman-Acosta finished seven spots behind Rust with a time of 56.13.

Jose Coiman-Acosta, NicoColomer, Farran Barker, and Noah Emerson raced in the 800-yard freestyle relay and earned 6th place with a time of 6:51.90.

NEXT

The Crimson and Gray will head to the final day of the SSC Swimming Championships at Long Aquatic Center. The meet will start with the Prelims at 10 a.m. and the finals at 5 p.m. EST.
