COVID-19 UPDATE: Brevard Supervisor of Elections Staff Available Via Phone During Coronavirus Shutdown

In conjunction with Brevard County Government facilities closing to the public today and to protect our voters and employees, the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections offices will temporarily close to the public until further notice. “We never want to be closed to the public, but the safety and security of our residents must be our first priority,” said Supervisor Lori Scott.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – In conjunction with Brevard County Government facilities closing to the public today and to protect our voters and employees, the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections offices will temporarily close to the public until further notice.

Although closed to public access, the Supervisor of Elections’ staff will continue to be available to assist you via phone at 321-633-2124 or 321-290-VOTE (8683).

Additionally, many voter services are available on the Supervisor of Elections website – VoteBrevard.com

Transactions available online include registering to vote, changing party affiliation (via voter registration application), requesting a mail ballot, updating your address, candidate services, etc.

“We never want to be closed to the public, but the safety and security of our residents must be our first priority,” said Supervisor Lori Scott.

“It is my hope these measures will stop the spread of COVID-19 in our county and allow us all to resume our normal functions ASAP.”

The ban on public access does not extend to public meetings.

Two scheduled Presidential Preference Primary related Canvassing Board meetings remain. Both meetings will take place at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Bldg. C, Suite 105 in Viera.

Upcoming public meetings will be held on:

▪ March 27 at 5 p.m.: Review of 10-day count overseas mail ballots, certify official results, complete conduct of elections, and select the race and precincts for the post-election audit

▪ March 31 at 9 a.m.: Conduct the post-election audit

Candidates needing to drop-off petitions and voters needing to drop-off applications or other election-related paperwork, may do so by using the secure, election drop box located outside the Viera Supervisor of Elections Office, Building C.

Citizens needing additional assistance that cannot be addressed via phone, mail, website or dropbox are asked to schedule an appointment.
