DON’T MISS THE PARADE OF HOMES IN VIERA! Scott Miller, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Community Development for The Viera Company provides a preview of the 2020 Parade of Homes on Space Coast Daily TV.
BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Get the comfy walking shoes ready, because this year’s Home Builders and Contractors Association’s Parade of Homes – Beautiful Homes Tour is here, bigger and better than before.
With a record number of entries and practically an entire city as its Showcase Community, the Parade should keep attendees hoping to catch all the outstanding living options available at all price points.
Just touring the Showcase Community may take days, since, unlike in years past when the Parade would select relatively compact developments to be in the spotlight for the rest of Brevard to see, 2020’s Parade is focusing on—drumroll, please – the entire community of Viera.

With 70 neighborhoods, 12,000 homes and a population of 27,000, Viera is definitely not your drive-through community. For the Parade, which runs March 14 to 22, the entire community of Viera will put on the red carpet to welcome visitors.
“As the Showcase Community for the 2020 Parade of Homes, Viera has a lot to be proud of and much to celebrate,” said Todd Pokrywa, president of the Viera Company.
“We invite everyone to visit our vibrant community to explore the quality of life and diverse residential options provided throughout Viera.”
There is plenty of hometown pride in Viera, and for good reason, given that 2019 was an extremely excellent year for the area.
“In 2019, Viera celebrated its 30th anniversary and was also ranked in the top 25 best-selling master-planned communities in the country,” added Pokrywa.

Last year was a busy one for Viera, with additional new residential neighborhoods and businesses, expanded educational offerings and the opening of the new interchange at Interstate 95 and Viera Blvd.
Viera Blvd. was widened from east of Murrell Rd. to U.S. 1, and groundbreaking took place for the Lake Andrew Drive extension project within the planned mixed-use hub of Borrows West, that will extend from Viera Boulevard south the to the current terminus behind Viera High School.
This year’s activities are already shaping up with exciting new additions to the popular community.
In January, Viera’s newest amenity, the Addison Village Club, opened. the first of its kind in Viera and an exceptional gathering place built for Addison Village residents and eligible license holders to enjoy a wide array of athletic, recreational, and social lifestyle activities.
The state-of-the-art facility is part of this year’s Parade of Homes as the official Showcase Clubhouse.
“It is truly a luxury club that is bringing resort-style living right into Brevard’s backyard,” said Kerrie Kunde, marketing director for Joyal Homes in Melbourne.

The impressive 9,025-square-foot Clubhouse includes meeting rooms, a social area, a gymnasium, and a catering kitchen with an adjacent 2,743-square-foot veranda, beautifully situated on a 10-acre- plus campus.
Visitors to the Showcase Community will have plenty of model homes to tour, since in addition to Joyal Homes, Viera Builders, Chris Burton Homes, Elan Builders, Arthur Rutenburg/Rosewood Homes, Lifestyle Homes and Stanley Homes have a robust presence in the area.
The Showcase Community is just for starters because the Parade of Homes also includes a record 34 entries this year, located from Micco to Titusville and with price points that range from Holiday Builders’ affordable $230,810 Fallon model in Palm Bay to the bells-and-whistles-intensive $2.6 million house that Christopher Burton Homes built in Adelaide, the exclusive neighborhood located in – surprise, surprise – Viera.
As for this year’s Showcase Home, the honor goes to long-time Parade participant DiPrima Custom Homes, which this year is spotlighting its newest model, the Villa Lucca Grande in St. Andrews Manor.
The $848,900 house boasts three bedrooms, plus a study and a Generational Suite with three baths and powder room, sitting/wine room and café, among its many attractions.
The self-guided tour that is the Parade of Homes will be even easier to navigate this year, thanks to QR codes noted in the Parade booklet.
Each code corresponds to one of 34 entries. With a smartphone, attendees can scan the location and obtain driving directions in a flash.

On March 19, an awards ceremony at the Melbourne Rialto Hilton will recognize the Parade’s most outstanding entries. Tickets for the event cost $50 for HBCA members and $60 for non-members, and are available through the HBCA website.
For folks looking for a new place to call home, the HBCA Parade of Homes is the most convenient way to discover what is out there, but even for those not in a buying mood, the Parade has plenty to offer.
“The Parade of Homes brings to our local community the opportunity to discover new ideas in home design, lifestyle and trends,” said Kunde.
2020 dates for the Home Builders and Contractors Association of Brevard’s Parade of Homes Beautiful Homes Tour are March 14 to 22.
Homes are typically open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from noon until 5 p.m. on Sundays during this self-guided tour. However, HBCA recommends calling the specific model home directly to ascertain hours of operation.
