Brevard Sheriff’s Agents Investigating Shooting of Woman at Scottsmoor Landings Park in Mims

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Scottsmoor Landings Park in Mims. Agents with the North Precinct General Crimes, Homicide and Crime Scene Units are currently on scene collecting evidence and conducting interviews.

BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Scottsmoor Landings Park in Mims.

According to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tod Goodyear, the investigation began Monday at approximately 12:30 p.m. when deputies responded to a report of a female being shot.

“Upon the arrival of deputies, a female subject was located inside a vehicle wounded,” said Goodyear. “The female was transported from the scene to the hospital in critical condition.”

Agents with the North Precinct General Crimes, Homicide and Crime Scene Units are currently on scene collecting evidence and conducting interviews.

Goodyear said that at this time, the Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the name of the individual involved in the incident. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided when more information is available.
