BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Boxes of personal protective equipment donated by Caliburn International have been delivered to Brevard County’s Emergency Operations Center and will be quickly loaded up for distribution to area healthcare providers and long-term care facilities.
Officials with the Cape Canaveral office of Caliburn arrived at the EOC in Rockledge in a mobile medical clinic with donations of more than 1,000 protective masks, 150 boxes of gloves and cartons containing more than 1,500 medical gowns.
“It’s a distinct pleasure to be able to provide support to the Emergency Operations Center,” said Dan Jones, chief operations officer for Caliburn.
“We’re partners with Brevard County and the entire community and want to help everybody get past this pandemic as smoothly as possible.”
Caliburn is a global medical management provider that can provide on-site medical exam services to the U.S. government, the military and commercial clients. It also provides consulting, engineering, medical and environmental services and large scale program management.
“It’s much appreciated and will help us provide PPE to healthcare providers and nursing homes in our county who have had challenges acquiring PPE,” Emergency Management Director Kimberly Prosser said about the donation.
